A one hour lunch break will be from 12 noon to 1:00 PM (Bring your lunch or dine at one of several restaurants within walking distance.)
About the Instructor
Frank Wilson is a Member of the International Guild Of Realism and has been a full time professional artist since 1971. He is an award winning artist who has been featured in dozens of Fine Art Galleries in the US and Europe. In addition to being invited to exhibit his work twice in the New York State Museum, he has been a featured artist on ABC's Good Morning America Show. His focus is painting the fast disappearing wilderness areas. Among his favorites areas to paint is the Lake Tahoe area. He brings a lifetime of rich experience and painting skills to his workshops.
Frank will be teaching the use of a new and exciting line of Professional Oil Paints formulated with fast drying alkyd Sunflower Oil instead of traditional, slow drying and yellowing linseed oil. The National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. has tested and recognized these paints as having superior loads of single pigment colors. The new C.A.S. Alkyd Pro Paints and Fast Drying Mediums will be supplied for each student to use during the workshop at no additional charge. Bring your own brushes, palette knives and palettes and canvas or panels. Small table easels will be provided. Learn to realistically paint the Lake Tahoe area with Frank Wilson! Workshop participants will enjoy seeing their works hung at the James Harold Gallery in Tahoe City the evening of the workshop and throughout the next day. A reception will be held to honor the achievements of the workshop attendees on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
