Thank you. I never really took the irreconcilable difference as a negative. Life can have irreconcilable differences or contradictions and yet still work. My more recent work is probably more so, a bit more of a struggle. Whether the work is weaker or stronger I can not be sure. I will post soon to hopefully get some input.

I do not agree here with the notions of 'irreconcilable' and 'contradictory.' You want to create an image : you create it ... in your own way. I like deconstruction ; the way a picture can 'journey' through to something new. When the ultimate result is good ... I think we can say that ends justify any means .. Software, digitisation etc. = exponential growth in our techniques/possibilities. We are not going to stand still are we?

This started with a line drawing. I then merged it digitally with painting. I am trying to work out some pieces that are based on actual paintings, digitally photographed then merged with then paintings and digitally manipulated. I have been told it is deconstructive, containing several irreconcilable and contradictory meanings. I think the materials are deconstructive as well painterly digital, the tearing down of a classic image, the nude... opinions?

This is an interesting series. The 'evolutionary' approach is interesting ..  How exactly are you combining the media?  ... painting .. then digitisation .. (??..)  would be interested to know ..

this a great merging of the two medias - painting and digital and you've come up with a powerful vision

The patterns are from paintings, so it is the merging of the two.
